Contents
Per mL Framycetin sulfate 5 mg, gramicidin 0.05 mg, dexamethasone 0.5 mg
Indications/Uses
Eye: Short-term treatment of steroid-responsive conditions of the eye when prophylactic antibiotic treatment is also required. Eye lid: Non-purulent blepharitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1-2 drops to the affected eye 1-2 hrly for 2-3 days, decrease to 1-2 drops 3-4 times daily.
Contraindications
Acute herpes simplex & other viral diseases of cornea & conjunctiva, ocular TB, fungal diseases & acute purulent infections, trachoma.
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity to streptomycins (neomycin, paramomycin, kanamycin). Undiagnosed red eye. Avoid prolonged use >7 days. Not to be applied on open wounds or damaged skin. Infant & small childn.
Adverse Reactions
Increased IOP, perforation in conditions causing thinning of the cornea, local allergic reactions.
